Optional Inventory Option

earlyReading English

Some of the earlyReading English subtests have the option to complete an inventory of all letters/sounds/words known by the child; these include Letter Names, Letter Sounds, and Sight Words.

The scoring page for each of these subtests has a highlighted section, visible only to educators (not to students). All unique letters/sounds/words appear at least once in the highlighted section. Ensure that the student attempts all the letters/sounds/words in the highlighted section to receive an inventory of all letters/sounds/words known by the child.

1. Complete the 1-minute timed administration process. Select the last letter/sound/word and choose the "Mark Last Response" button on the right sidebar. After the timer sounds, choose Option A or Option B below based on their progress through the highlighted section.
   • Option A: If the student has read the entire highlighted section: Stop administering items. Select the "Student Completed Inventory" checkbox. 
   • Option B: If the student has not yet read the entire highlighted section: Tell the student to continue reading. Continue to mark errors until the student has reached the end of the highlighted section. Then, select the "Student Completed Inventory" checkbox.
2. Submit the test. After checking the box for "Student Completed Inventory," select the "Submit Test" button.

earlyMath English

Two of the earlyMath English subtests have the option to complete an inventory of all numbers known by the child; these include Numeral Identification-K and Numeral Identification-1.

The scoring page for each of these subtests has a highlighted section, visible only to educators (not to students). All unique numbers appear at least once in the highlighted section. Ensure that the student attempts all the numbers in the highlighted section to receive an inventory of all numbers known by the child.
