Are the FastBridge aMath and aReading assessments based on Common Core Standards or State standards?
aMath (Adaptive Math) and aReading (Adaptive Reading) are measures of broad achievement. The test blueprint and items were developed with specific reference to the Common Core standards.
aMath was developed with specific reference to CCSS with some consideration of MN math standards, and MN standards are generally consistent with Common Core. aMath has robust criterion validity and diagnostic accuracy with MCA-III for math. As for English Language Arts (ELA) standards, aReading covers those.
aReading and aMath independently predict student performance on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment-III with 80 to 85% accuracy.
Criterion validity coefficients were consistently above .80 and diagnostic accuracy ("AUC") was above .85. The results exceed the requirements for top ratings from the National Center for Response to Intervention (NCRTI).
