The Composite score for earlyReading is a weighted sum of 3 specific subtests. For earlyMath, it is a weighted sum of 3 specific subtests. The subtests that need to be completed for each universal screening period will be highlighted in green on the Screening page for that assessment. The subtests that make up the Composite may change from screening period to screening period.
If CBMR is one of the sub-tests listed in the composite, all three CBMreading passages must be completed before an earlyReading Composite score will be generated. If there is an i behind the CBMR score, that indicates that the CBMreading assessment is incomplete, or not all of the passages have been scored.
Please Note:
Composite scores are only available for PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade; benchmarks are only available for these grades as well. Educators can use earlyReading and earlyMath with students that are in higher grades, but a Composite score will not be generated for them.
