When manually adding a student to the roster, the system looks at the current roster as well as any previous/archived student information. If the Student ID of the student you are trying to add is already in the system, a message appears saying the student already exists. This message is designed to alert you to potential problems.
- If the student has been in your district before, i.e., they moved out and are back now, you can disregard the message. Clicking OK will add the student back onto the roster. Prior data will not be attached to the new enrollment unless they are returning to the same school.
- If the student has not been in your district before, you are adding them with a Student ID number that belongs to someone else. Check the ID numbers of current and (if possible) previous students. Each student must have their own unique Student ID. If you can't find the conflict, notify FastBridge Support.
- If FastBridge will not accept adding the student after you click OK, you will need to add the student through a roster upload. You can do an INCREMENTAL upload that contains only the student you are trying to add.
