The FastBridge computer-administered screening assessments can be conducted remotely when teachers and students are working from home. In order to ensure fidelity to standardized testing procedures, FastBridge recommends that schools schedule specific screening sessions when students will complete the assessments online as a group while the teacher proctors the administration and is available to provide assistance.
Here are the steps to conduct screening with the FastBridge computer-administered assessments. These directions apply to the following assessments:

- Equipment. Make sure that all students who will be assigned to complete the assessment have an internet-connected computer or tablet with audio and video capabilities.

- Check whether students have computers at home. As needed, distribute computers to students.
- Check whether students have internet access at home. As needed, distribute access tools such as hot spots.
- Check whether students have headphones that can be used during the assessment. As needed, distribute headphones to students.
- Have students use the FastBridge device compatibility check to confirm that the FastBridge measures display. Directions for the compatibility check are included in the Family Directions (see #5 below).
- Student access and login. Confirm that all participating students have access to the selected screeners and up-to-date FastBridge usernames and passwords.

- Check with your FastBridge district manager to be sure that your students have access to the assigned screening assessment(s).
- Determine how students will access the FastBridge system, and ensure that you know how to support them by providing usernames and passwords.
- Distribute these access instructions and login credentials to the student and/or family.
- Screening sessions. The FastBridge district manager should review and confirm the available screening dates and times using the Default Screening Periods settings in the Manager menu. In addition, specific dates and times for videoconferences when groups of students will complete their assigned computer-based assessments need to be scheduled.

- Schedule dates and times for assigned groups and create links for the testing sessions.
- Distribute the assigned dates and times to the student and/or family.
- Remind families and students to login into the videoconference tool in order to complete the screening assessment at the assigned date and time.
- Follow up with any students who miss the assigned session and conduct make-up sessions as needed.
- Teacher training. Create and provide training for teachers who will proctor the online sessions when universal screening sessions will be conducted.

- Develop and distribute step-by-step directions for teachers and others who will proctor the assessments. In these directions, be sure to include information on how to:

- Schedule videoconference sessions;
- Log in and check audio and video connections;
- Navigate within the videoconference and/or live proctoring software to see and hear all students;
- Recognize and respond to testing administration problems during the session;
- Follow up when a student’s screening session was unsuccessful and another session must be conducted.
- Family directions. Distribute the attached family directions form or create a local form with the directions to distribute to families.
