Manually enter the PM score for the correct student
1. Print or take a screenshot of the Detailed PM Information that appears below the progress monitoring graph for the student the score was accidentally collected under.
Also, hover over the error data point for the date in question and make note of the number of errors (above the Detailed PM Information section)
2. Locate the correct student's PM and click Start Form for the appropriate week.
3. Manually score the PM using the data from the printed/saved Detailed PM Information section.
a. Select Paper-Pencil under administration type.
b. Enter the Test date from the Detailed PM Information saved previously.
The test date will default to the current date so it’s important that you manually enter the date that the test was administered or the graph will display the score on the date it was entered.
c. Use the Detailed PM Information to identify the Incorrect Items and mark those items incorrect on the test.
If the number of errors (from the Error graph) is higher than the total number of incorrect items listed under Detailed PM Information under Incorrect Items, the student missed one or more of the incorrect items multiple times. Mark additional instances of the same incorrect items until you reach the number of errors. It does not matter which of the incorrect items you use, the count will work the same. This is only important if your district/building tracks or uses the errors for decision-making.
d. Mark the last word. You can do this by counting the number of items or select an item in the assessment and then click the Mark Last Word button to view the score under WRC per minute at the bottom of the administration page. Adjust the 'last item' forward or back by selecting an item and then clicking Mark Last Word each time, until the WRC per minute matches the score under Detailed PM Information.
e. Submit, as normal.
Delete the PM score from the incorrect student
Return to the PM and delete the score from the student that was incorrectly monitored. See: Iowa: Administering PM and Deleting a Score for instructions.
Still need help?
Follow your district's plan for support, usually by contacting your FastBridge District Manager. If your district doesn't have a plan, submit a support request in FastBridge or by emailing help@fastbridge.org (which also creates a support request). Don't forget to include specific details about the issue, the student's first and last name, the PM assessment, and the date of monitoring. Do not use the chat feature or phone support number through FastBridge, as your Iowa support team is not available via those methods.
