If a district's SIS or state uses different codes for grades KG or PK, districts can map them to the corresponding FastBridge code. This allows for students to be assigned the accurate grade level, but does not change the code on reports or downloads.

Answer |
What happens if the mapping is
changed mid-year?
|
If a district is still rostering students using their old codes and the mapping is changed or removed, these students will not be uploaded into the system after the next uploaded roster. This will not affect thier data. In order to reinstate the students, the mapping will need to be restored. |
Will these mappings show the alternate grade levels in the system? | No. Any reports, downloads, or rosters will still list the students as being in KG or PK. |
Will this tool be available for higher grade levels? | Not at this time. There was no existing need to make this available for higher grade levels. |
Who has access to this tool? | DMs and MAAs. |
Will these mappings roll over from year to year? | Yes, as long as they are not tampered with. |
Can you have multiple codes map to one FAST code? |
Yes. Take a look at Grade Level Mapping.
|
Will the mappings override the FAST code? | Yes. Should the district want multiple mappings, including standard and non-standard, both of these will need to be put into the tool. For example, if a district wants both 4K and PK to map to PK, they would need to include both. |
