Based on the results from a large linking study conducted in partnership with Metametrics, Quantile® measures (i.e., scores) are available for students with valid aMath scores and are reported in the Screening to Intervention Report for Math. Because the Screening to Intervention (s2i) Report does not use aMath data for Kindergarten and Grade 1, Quantile® scores are only available in the s2i report for Grades 2 through 12.
Benefits of Quantile® Scores
Quantile® scores were developed to help educators match math instruction to each student’s current level of understanding. More information about the resources linked to the Quantile® measures can be found at https://www.quantiles.com/.
The s2i report also provides links to instructional resources based on aMath scores. The combination of resources linked to Quantile® scores and to aMath scores will help teachers personalize learning, differentiate instruction, and communicate with parents about each student’s math skill level and progress.

FAQ
What is a Quantile® score?
The Quantile® measure is a developmental score that spans the mathematics continuum from Kindergarten mathematics through content typically taught in Precalculus and Statistics. Quantile® scores can be used by educators to determine what mathematical instruction the student is likely to be ready for next. For more information, select here.
Why aren’t Quantile® scores available in the s2i for Kindergarten and Grade 1?
The Quantile® measure was statistically linked to scores from the aMath assessment. Because the s2i report does not report aMath scores for Kindergarten and Grade 1, Quantile® scores are not reported for these grades. However, Quantile® scores are available in the data download for all students with an aMath score in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Are Quantile® scores available for Kindergarten and Grade 1 students somewhere else in FastBridge?
Quantile® scores are available in the data download for all students with a valid aMath score in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
Can I see Quantile® scores for years prior to 2023-2024?
No. FastBridge provides Quantile® scores beginning in the 2023–24 school year and going forward.
What is the range of Quantile® measures?
The Quantile® scale ranges from EM400Q to 1650Q. EM stands for emerging mathematician. Quantile® scores are capped for each grade to ensure developmental appropriateness of corresponding instructional material. The table below shows the maximum reported Quantile® score at each grade level.
Grade | Quantile® Cap |
K | 600Q |
1 | 675Q |
2 | 725Q |
3 | 990Q |
4 | 1125Q |
5 | 1300Q |
