Why did FastBridge change the Progress Monitoring setup process?
Based on direct feedback from our customers, we learned that most districts want the ability to set up progress monitoring in a way that corresponds with their workflow processes. How students are identified and assigned intervention strategies and progress monitoring goals and schedules differs across schools and districts, but FastBridge had a one-size-fits-all approach that was too structured.
What we learned was that very few of our customers wanted to be forced to progress monitor students based on the assessment being used. PM groups are thought of as temporary sets of students that are organized based on instructional needs and are modified throughout the year based on student progress. Among several other fixes, we also needed to do a better job of accommodating our customers who don’t use FastBridge for screening and therefore don’t start with a baseline score within FastBridge.
