Social behavior in classroom settings includes following classroom rules, routines, and procedures; maintaining and supporting positive relationships with adults and peers; and working effectively within a larger group. Specific strategies and interventions for Social Behavior are included in the FastBridge system under the Training & Resources tab.
The best way to identify classrooms or students who may benefit from Social behavior supports is through the administration of the SAEBRS (K-12) and/or the mySAEBRS (2-12) universal screening assessments.
The following Social Behavior Interventions are suitable for use in whole group settings, though they can be tailored for use with small groups or individual learners:
- Advanced Warning
- Classroom Rules
- Effective Behavior Requests
- Good Behavior Game
- Labeled Praise
- Overcorrection
- Private Corrective Feedback
- Positive Peer Reporting
- Social Recognition
- Planned Ignoring
These Social Behavior Interventions are appropriate for use with individual learners:
- Behavior Contract
- Daily Report Card
