With our direct connection with Metametrics, Lexile® scores, based on aReading, are available in the Screening to Intervention Report for Reading (s2i-R). Since the s2i Report does not use aReading data for K and 1, Lexile® scores are only available in the s2i for grades 2-12. We do still have estimated Lexile scores for K and 1 available on the s2i-R.

Why aren’t the Lexile® measures on the s2i-R for Kindergarten and 1st grade?
FastBridge obtains a Lexile® reading measure for each aReading score. Because the S2i report does not report aReading for K and 1 we do not report the Lexile® in this report for those grades. Lexile® measures are available in the data download for grades K-12. We are exploring other locations for Lexile® measures within the FastBridge application in the future.
What is the difference between the estimated lexile and Lexile® option?
The estimated lexile scores were derived using a linear association between aReading and NWEA MAP reading RIT score, combined with a crosswalk of MAP reading RIT scores to Lexiles. The Lexile® is based on data derived from a large Lexile Linking study. We obtain Lexile® measures directly from Metametrics.
Will there be a big difference between the Lexile® measure and the estimated lexile?
Differences can occur and they vary in size by ability level. Below aReading score of 500, the estimated Lexiles are higher than the official Lexile®. The reverse is true above 500. Most students in grades 2 - 8 the difference is less than 150 points
Will I see Lexile measures from Fall of 2021?
Yes, Lexile® measures are available for all screening periods in the 2021-2022 school year.

Can we see Lexile® measures from previous school years?
